# 36 - RELIGION - Perform My Solat Early

Assamualaikum

Solat or Praying to Allah is the PILLAR of ISLAM.

For Muslims who deliberately miss their Solat, their status as Muslims are questionable. However, one's status, whether he/she is still a Muslim or not (even after the consideration of Solat) is up to Allah and not for us (human beings) to decide.

Having said that however, as individuals, we have the obligations to take care of our own status as Muslim. Because if we deliberately and arrogantly ignore this responsibility, we ourselves know where we stand during the HEREAFTER........whether we deserve Jannah or HELL (Na'azubillah).

As a Muslim, I admit that I've not been a good Muslim, as I confessed in my previous entry. But I had decided to change for the better and Alhamdulillah I'm a better Muslim now in that aspect. However, I am still WEAK. Many a time, I bowed to the whisper of Syaitan, to DELAY my Solat!

So, from today, starting from the Fajr Prayer (Solat Suboh) this morning, I promised myself that I will perform my Solat at the earliest time possible. I believe I can do this because I am the master of my time now. I control what and when I want to do anything/something. So meeting Allah should be my Number One priority at all time. Because those are the times I can feel calm and at peace. And those are the best times for me to ASK from Allah, what I want for myself and my family. Allah had given us many things which we never asked from Him (eg our eyes, hands, feet) but I stronly believe that only by asking He will give MORE, i.e. ASK FOR MORE. The more freuqent we ask, in shaa Allah the higher probability that Allah will grant it, only time is the difference. That is whether we get what we want immediately or long after.

I will keep track of my Solat Time-Keeping starting today and will update it here, for the next 44days because theoretically, anything we do for 44days will become HABIT and we will feel restless if  we ever missed it.

Update : 4 Jan 2013

I managed to keep track of my solat time only for the first few days. After that I simply had no time to update. That's OK if I managed to perform my solat EARLY, as I am supposed to. The problem was that I still not strong enough. However, alhamdulillal, due to my NAWAITU to perform solat early, I DID MANAGED to do it early MOST OF THE TIMES. What to do now is to PERSEVERE !
